We know that your privacy is important to you, so your privacy as you use our site is very important to us. This Privacy Policy describes what information we gather from you, how we use that information and what we do to protect it. We hope that this Privacy Policy is straightforward and clear, but if you have any questions about it, please email our Privacy Officer at info@accreditedemsfiretraining.com.

We may receive additional personal identifiable information from you through communications with Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. We will use that information to fulfill your request and for aggregate reporting before deleting it from our active system. For example, if you e-mail accreditedemsfiretraining.com to ask about an article or tool, we will use that information to give you an answer, to make sure that you are satisfied with our answer, to have a history of our service to you and to make our service better by reporting your request, without any personally identifying information, in our customer service totals.

Information

In order to maintain and improve our website, we also gather some statistical data when you visit the site. The exact information we collect may vary, but can include the date and time of an access to our site, the Internet Protocol address of a computer requesting a page, the pages requested, and computer and connection information such as browser type and operating system. We do not associate this statistical information with your personally identifiable information.

Public Information

Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. provides you with many ways to submit information to be posted on our site including participating in our forums and asking our experts a questions. In each of these circumstances, Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. gathers information from you. Be aware that anything you submit to Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. through these services may be made public, so please remember not to include any information you want kept private. Information submitted to forums or experts can be read, recorded and used by any third party or by Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc.

Cookies

Like many websites, we may use “cookies,” which are stored on your computer and contain small amounts of information sent by Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. to your computer and read by Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. when you visit the different pages of our website. For example, cookies allow us to remember your username and password as you navigate around our site.

Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. also receives reports generated from that information. Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 18 years. If your child would like to be certified in a course all contacts will be through the child’s parent, parents or guardian.

How We Use That Information

We do not rent, sell, transfer or otherwise disclose your personally identifiable information to any third party, except as expressly stated below.

As noted, we gather the information discussed above for purposes of providing and improving our service. For example, we use the information to allocate system resources and communicate with you about updates and new features, among other things.

As described above, we also aggregate information supplied by users during registration and information about their use of Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. to maintain our services and describe our user base to potential partners, investors and advertisers. In providing this information, however, we do not reveal any personally identifiable information; only supply summary data about our community of users.

There are some limited circumstances in which we may need to disclose personally identifiable information about you, and we want you to know about them.

We may reveal user information if we believe that user is harming or interfering with Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. users, anyone else, or violating (either intentionally or unintentionally) our User Agreement, or infringing any of Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc., or trespassing on, damaging, or abusing any of Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. property.

Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. will reveal information, including personally identifiable information, to the extent it believes it is required to do so by law. If we are asked by subpoena or other legal means to disclose any of your personally identifiable information we will, if permitted by law, attempt to notify you via the email address you supplied and mailing address during registration at least ten days before we respond to the request.

Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. may transfer any information, including any personally identifiable information, in connection with a sale of all or 85% most of the assets of the company.

Data Security

Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. employees and independent contractors are only given access to member data on a password-protected basis. It is our employment policy that this information is to be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and any misuse of this information is grounds for disciplinary action, including termination.

Policy Changes

If we change this Privacy Policy in any substantial way, we will notify you at least thirty days in advance by posting a notice of the change prominently on our site. Changes will not be applied retroactively to information obtained under a previous policy without your express consent.

Statement of Nondiscrimination

Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin or disability (within the limitations of valid job requirements set forth by federal law and California Law). We also follow the rules, regulations, policies, procedures of NAEMT, NREMT, AHA, American Red cross, California State Fire Marshal Training, California EMSA.

Class Cancellation Policy

This policy will define how training class cancellations are handled. This policy covers Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. cancellation of a class, minimum student enrollment requirements, cancellation by student, and customer specific.

Class Cancellations (by Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc.):

It is our intent to avoid cancellation or rescheduling of any training events. Unfortunately circumstances occasionally require us to cancel or reschedule class.

  • Instructor-led classes are student-enrollment dependent. The required minimum student enrollment is ten (10) students for instructor-led classes. Classes with enrollment of less than ten (10) students are subject to cancellation or rescheduling at the discretion of Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc.
  • Classes will be canceled no less than ten (10) working days before the scheduled start day of class.
  • Cancellation notices will be sent to enrolled students by email, to the address provided at the time of Enrollment.
  • Students will not be charged any training fees for classes canceled by Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc.
  • As circumstances may require us to cancel or reschedule classes; please consider this when arranging travel. We are not liable for any expenses incurred due to class re-scheduling or cancellation.

Enrollment Cancellations (by Student):

We request students cancel enrollment online as soon as possible. All classes have limited seating, so in the event you cannot attend please allow room for other students to participate, by canceling your Enrollment.

  • Student cancellations received eleven (11) days before the start of class will receive full reimbursement of tuition.
  • Student cancellations received ten (10) or less days before the start of class will not receive a refund. Student will be credited for same course attendance within 12 months.
  • Students who do not cancel before the scheduled start of class will be billed for the full class tuition.
  • There is no credit or refund of tuition due to failure to attend without notice.
  • There is no credit or refund of tuition due to Strike Team Assignments during Fire Season (Fire Department or Fire District or City Employees). Exempted: Cal Fire employees will receive credit for the same course and must attend within 12 months. On the average we offer all courses five times a year. Students cannot be late to class the first day. California State Fire Marshal classes and all EMS classes have strict policies and laws that shall be followed.
  • Student or Agency requesting a class to be scheduled: When a student or Agency request a class they are responsible to fill the minimal number of seats per that class. SFM class minimal number of students ten (10) students, NAEMT five (5) students, EMT Skills verification five (5) students. These are the minimal number for a class to be held. Payment shall be issued prior to class. If student or agency fails to deliver the number required they will owe the difference. If not enough students sign up, a makeup class could be rescheduled. There is four hours of work to order a class, process the class etc. There are no refunds only a makeup class when offered. Student will be notified by phone, email when the class is rescheduled.

California EMT Skills Verification

Instructors may set up an individual time and location for the student to complete the California EMT Skills verification form. Students must allow two hours for testing and bring the California EMT Skills verification form to the appointment. Appointments shall be paid for prior to scheduling. This ensures that the student / EMT will show up. Student cancellation received less than two (2) business days before the appointment will be billed for full tuition and will receive credit. The credit is good for only 90 days, you must complete your California EMT skills verification within 90 days. Cancellation before 2 business days we will reschedule.

If you reschedule your California EMT Skills verification appointment a second time and have to cancel a second time, you may attend a EMT class or another Skills verification class at no additional charge. We will try and make every accommodation for you, we understand that issues can arise. Our Instructors plan and schedule our time for you. No addition charge on the second cancellation.

A third scheduled appointment is an additional $100.00 since you canceled twice already. Which means you paid $165.00 for the first appointment, canceled the first appointment received a credit. Schedule a second appoint and canceled and had an option to attend EMT class or a California EMT Skills verification class if either was scheduled.

If you want a third appointment is an additional charge of $100.00, means you paid $265.00 total for your California EMT Skills verification. This policy is to protect our instructors. A fourth cancellation by the student we reserve the right to refuse service. We plan and schedule for you to show up

Regional, Customer Specific, and Individual Classes

Regional and Customer-Specific classes or Individual are scheduled per customer’s request. Regional, Customer-Specific and Individual classes are the request of the customer. Class must be paid in full at the time a date is scheduled on the calendar. If the customer paid a date was placed on the calendar for the class.

These classes entail additional cost investment for Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc., and therefore have a specific cancellation policy. Regional classes will involve travel/overnight expense, equipment rental etc. Customer-specific classes or canceled 15 business days or less before the start of class will incur a 25% cancellation fee of the total original price. This fee is not refundable nor may it be credited to any other class tuition.

Regional and Customer-Specific classes canceled five (5) business days or less before the start of class will incur a 50% cancellation fee of the total original price. This fee is not refundable nor may it be credited to any other class tuition. Within the planning stage to being ready to go Facilitate a class. Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. employees are using vacation time, sick leave time etc. (planning the class) All employees have other full-time jobs. This is why we have a strict policy.

Individual Scheduled Class

Example CPR, EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) and EMT Skills Verification. Once a date is set…..

  • Student cancellations received five (5) business days before the start of class will not be billed (full reimbursement of tuition).
  • Student cancellation received less than five (5) business days before the start of class will be bill for full tuition and will receive credit for same course attendance within 12 months.
  • Students who do not cancel before the scheduled start of class will be billed for the full class tuition.
  • There is no credit or refund of tuition due to failure to attend without notice. There is no credit or refund of tuition due to Strike Team Assignments during Fire Season. On the average we offer all courses five times a year. Students can not be late to class the first day. California State Fire Marshal classes and all EMS classes have strict policies and laws that shall be followed.
  • Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. will evaluate, review and consider each case of cancellation.

Invoice/Payment

Any class that is provided (service) a invoice will be created. Payment is due upon invoice (this is noted as the date it was sent through email, we will follow up and confirm by email or verbal by Accredited EMS Fire Training Inc. that the customer received invoice, email confirmation is preferred). Any invoice paid 30 calendar days late – automatic late fee (charge) is $50.00 Fifty dollars – US currency. After 45 calendar days fee is $100.00 dollars One Hundred dollars – US currency, 60 calendar days 150.00, On the 60th (two months) day, we simply make a final phone call for payment. If payment is not received we simply send the invoice to the following agencies: Collection Company or Attorney. Small Claims court is just that Small Claims. All fees associated with collecting nonpayment invoices the client/customer will be responsible for per California Law. We request invoices to be paid in a timely manner for record-keeping purposes.
